After an initial meet, where you can see if we have a connection and if you'd like to go ahead, we'll generally meet another two-three times before you go into labour - although it can be more often than this, depending on your situation.

One of these sessions will allow us to "birth plan", and on this occasion it's useful for your partner to be there too, if that's relevant, so we can talk through all the possible scenarios together. I will provide you with trused information and research to enable you to create a birth plan that works for you. We can also talk in more detail about what to expect during your labour and baby's birth and how we will work together then.

The other get-togethers can cover whatever is relevant to you at that time. They also provide an opportunity for a general chat and some more "getting to know each other", so we have a good bond and understanding once labour starts.

Also, I am currently training in shiatsu massage for pregnancy, birth and the post-natal period, so a shiatsu taster comes as part of the package! Similarly my knowledge of mum and baby "kit" also comes in useful if you're still wavering over a particular sling, for example.

After your baby has been born, I will also come and see you whenever is convenient at home or in hospital and may even become your post-natal doula. I'm happy to be able to say that this has happened with many of my clients so far. This is when I can give you support for your new life with your baby – eg breastfeeding, sleep, changing, emotional issues etc.

I will be on call for you and never more than two hours away in the four weeks around your due date and you can call or email me whenever you like, in addition to our face-to-face meetings.

For exact fees it is best to ask when you contact me.
